Importing Canvas Courses

I need to import a course from a previous summer to a Fall term.

1) I'm not listed as the primary instructor nor as an instructor for the course.  It was taught by another instructor at the same school.

2) I'm trying to find the course.  Under "Search for a course" (not in the drop-down selections) I enter the course name that I was provided and then select the Import button.  I then receive "You must select a course to copy content from".  I know this but how can I find the course?

What do I need to do to import the course?

Hi @Hans_Solo,

The only courses you'll be bale to import from would be ones where you're listed as a teacher (and possibly a TA-type role depending on the permissions set by your school/institution).  Generally the instructor of the previous course would add you in to that  course, or someone form the Canvas team at your school (usually in the eLearning / IT / Digital Education areas) would create some sort of "in development" course shell for content sharing between you and the prior instructor or would do the import for you if it's authorized.
