Attendance Total Amount Point Value Edit in late-semester

I realized late that I assigned 100  instead of 150 for the total possible points (not weighted). I already took attendance (more than once). Now I need to correct my mistake. However, the guides that I could access all said that I couldn't do it. I can do it, the system allows but apparently it distorts overall grade calculations. Is there any way that I can change the point value without messing up the students' grades (except that after the update, their attendance grade will change as it will be re-calculated)

Hi @InannaNanna,

You should be able to do this pretty easily...

1. Adjust the points of the attendance assignment to 150 and save that change.
2. Go to the attendance tool and find a day where no attendance was recorded (maybe a weekend).  Once you find a day like that, click the "mark all present" button.
3. Wait about a minute and hit the "unmark all" button.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 each section of the course (if it has multiple sections) in the attendance tool, and then you should be all set!.
