Blueprint Sections and other settings

HI community, 

We have realized that there are some settings and configurations that we do at Blueprint level, that are not being sync with the child course(s). 

* Grades - grade posting policy 

* Sections: When I create a section at a BluePrint level, and I sync to a course, it is not automatically created. 

Has anyone encountered the same issue? Any workaround that could be done?

Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community regarding your questions concerning blueprint sync. I am sorry to hear that you experienced these challenges. Your associated courses should sync, or update, and reflect the grade posting policy in your blueprint course. Are you checking the box, "include course settings" when syncing to your associated courses ? This box should be checked. Further, courses may be dissociated via a SIS import or manually. Are these courses still associated? Also, have you noticed any errors in the blueprint course after you sync? If this does not help, because of the complexity of the issue, and the concerns for privacy, it would be best if you contacted Canvas Support directly to pinpoint the source of the issue and provide a resolution:  How do I contact Canvas Support? - Instructure Community  . There, we can take a look at the specific Blueprint and associated courses. 

Further, any sections added to the Blueprint parent course should not sync those sections to the associated courses . If you would like to add sections to courses, you may want to try creating these sections via a SIS import : SIS Import Format Documentation - Canvas LMS REST API Documentation .
