Availibility and Due Date display

I am curious if there is anyway to change or toggle how students see Due Dates and Available Dates in the Assignments section.  Currently, the system shows the Available Until date first, then the Due Date.  

I set me due dates and then lock assignments after the make-up period passes.  I am struggling with students doing their work on time, and some have indicated that it is "Available until ..."  Is there a way to flip the order or even set it so only the due date appears on the assignment list?

I do not know of any way to flip the order of those dates that are displayed to students.  I suppose there *might* be a way to do this via back-end code (that would be beyond my scope of knowledge), but then that change might change how things are displayed for everyone at your school ... and not just students in your course(s).  You'd also need to keep in mind that the Canvas written Guides here in the Community website display the dates how you currently see them.  So, flipping the dates in your courses compared to how the Canvas documentation displays them may be confusing.  See this Guide as an example:

If you wanted to see this display changed in Canvas, you could consider submitting this via the Ideas and Themes space here in the Community.  As this page indicates, you'd want to read through the documentation listed on Community - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com) for Ideas and Themes.
