Not exactly sure what you are asking about? using chromium or chrome as the browser would be on your end and unrelated to Canvas. Canvas could be viewed on either one (I am guessing here, I know nothing about chromium and had to look it up). To get chromium, there should be a download available online somewhere.
Can you provide a better explanation of what you want to do and how it relates back to Canvas.
