After editing an ASSESSMENT link, the colored button disappeared from the page. How would I restore this?

Can you perhaps provide a screenshot showing the colored button from another page? it sounds like perhaps the button is some kind of custom thing and perhaps is no longer supported and getting wiped out on save. If we could see what it looks like, someone may be able to offer a supported way to recreate the button, or figure out if this is actually a bug or something.
