The announcements tab shows that it is not visible to students. How do enable the students to view the announcements?
Just send an Announcement, and the crossed out eyeball will go away.

Does the course currently have any announcements that would be currently available to students? The Announcements (and most other course menu tabs) do not show for students unless there is actually content under the tab that they can see.
