I've noticed that Canvas sorts last names with hyphens before non-hyphenating names (the opposite of our grading system). How can this be changed?

Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with organizing students by last names within the gradebook. You have the option to sort the student names a few ways, but alphabetically it is only a-z or z-a. Unfortunately, there is not a way to customize this and the hyphenated names will appear in the order that they are based on the enrollment information that was received from the school.
