Adaptive Release Hierarchy

Is it possible to set up adaptive release criteria as a hierarchy? For example, teacher wants to require students to complete Module 1 before they can access Module 2, but after a certain date, teacher wants all students to have access to Module 2, regardless of whether they completed Module 1.

Is this possible?

Unfortunately, that is not an option on Canvas. 

The teacher can set up prerequisites and requirements for the modules.

Once those are set, the students will need to complete the requirements needed to move modules. The teacher would need to manually remove the requirements on the specific date they want it to release for all students. Canvas doesn't have the option to do that automatically.
