When designing a course, as an instructor, we are hoping to lock an assignment until an earlier one is completed. For example, The students need to fill out a confidentiality form before they are able to submit the other assignments. I've found that students tend to submit the other assignments even though it has been stressed that the first assignment needs to be done before they can do the others. It would be easier to lock it for individual students and then when they submit the first assignment the other ones unlock automatically for them. Let me know what you suggest.
