Can Canvas be loaded on a closed network (LAN)?

I know that instructure offers their Source code HERE if you are interested in any self hosting.
From what I understand, self hosting is not an actual service option that is offered by Canvas and their support team. You might be able to talk with your CSM to go over details on this if you are an admin at your institution.
