View Log for New Quiz

Question

In my Classic Quizzes I am about to see when a student switched screens to something other than the quiz on Canvas.  In the New Quiz option, I am unable to see this.  Is there a way to tell if a student left the Canvas quiz when building them in "New Quizzes"?  I know some have done this and we have even tested it, but nothing shows they left their screen.

Thanks for posting this in the Canvas Community!

I know that with New Quizzes, the moderation page will show some of the basic details for each students attempt. From what I saw on the Canvas guide, it will show the date a student began and completed the quiz, each event a student completed while taking the quiz, and the time that event was completed.

It does look like it won't show you as many details like the Classic quiz engine does. I am hoping that this is something that the engineers for Canvas improve with future releases. I would be nice to have the quiz log show details such as when the student left the quiz page and when they returned.

It seems like this is a limitation for New Quizzes. I was able to find THIS idea that was submitted. I would encourage everyone to vote on this, if possible.

I did a chat with Canvas Instructure this morning, and unfortunately the audit log in the new quizzes format is not as detailed like it is in classic.  I was encouraged to make this suggestion to Canvas, but by the look of this this blog, I'm not the only one with this concern.
