I wonder if your instructor may have put some kind of restriction on the types of files that you can submit to that particular assignment. For example, when you are viewing your assignment details, do you see an area for "File Types" that lists possible types of files that can be submitted? Here's a screenshot from my own sandbox course:
As you can see from this example, only three file types are allowed. Might your instructor have set up something similar to this? You might want to check with your instructor to let him/her know you are having difficulties. And, do you know if others in your course have been able to successfully submit their assignment? Or, are they having difficulties as well?

When you are creating a quiz and/or also reviewing a quiz in Canvas after the class has taken it, the questions aren't numbered so after you get past the first few questions, there is no way to even tell what number you are on. Can someone change that?
