Our courses are self-paced, but we are considering having students submit to an assignment, which will unlock feedback. Will the celebration animations play if there is no due date?

I came across this unanswered question while doing a community cleanup. I wasn't sure of the answer so I tried this out in a test course I have, and it doesn't appear that the confetti will show if the assignment has an empty due date.
