Sharing Between Canvas Clients

I have Canvas accounts at two different universities. Is there any way to copy a course I teach at one university to the other university's Canvas site?

Hi there, @LeeWard ...

Yup...there are a couple ways I can think that you could accomplish this...

• You can export the content from the course in the first Canvas environment.  Then, you would import the content from the course export file to the course in the other Canvas environment.  Here are the two Guides that you would use:

  • How do I import a Canvas course export package?
• Do you know if both schools that are using Canvas have access to Canvas Commons?  If so, you could share the course in your first Canvas environment to Canvas Commons (publicly).  Then, once the course has been uploaded to Commons, log into the other Canvas environment and import the course from Commons.  Here are the Guides for that:
