Hello. I cross listed a class into the wrong class and I was trying to De-Cross List but it would not let me. It only asks if I want to "Re-Cross List" but not if I want to undo the one I already did.
@Allen312 You will want to contact your local Canvas admin to de-crosslist. If you crosslisted following Canvas' steps then you removed yourself from one of the sections and this is required for de-crosslisting. I created a feature request for this process to be fixed that you might be interested in voting for:
[Course Settings] Allow De-Cross-listing for Teach... - Instructure Community
Hope this helps!

Hello @Allen312 ...
Are you sure that you are in the correct course when you want to de-cross-list? You need to be logged in to the course where you had cross-listed all courses. For example, if you had courses A, B, and C ... and you wanted them to all be cross-listed together so that all enrollments were contained in course A (you would no longer see enrollments in courses B and C). If you wanted to de-cross-list those courses, you would need to log in to course A, go to your "Settings" page, then go to the "Sections" tab. Next, click on the section name you want to de-cross-list (for example, course B or course C), and then you should see a de-cross-list button...as described here:
Hopefully this will be of some help to you. Sing out if you have questions...thanks much!
I am setting up my courses for this year and I realized that when I opend the mastery-based gradebook, there is no color coding. When I open last years's course that had color-coding last time I opened it in the spring, it no longer has colors. The colors appear in the individual student view, but not in the all class view.
Hoping someone can explain for me. We're using pacing to avoid manually dating regular assignments each quarter, but the dates I see are based on when the course was instantiated, while students see dates based on when they were added to the course by [backend software I don't know anything about, presumably]. If I set…
Has anyone else had issues with an influx of duplicate users in Canvas? Ours is currently in the form of an email that already exists, becoming a new user - and not automatically merging with the user ID with the same email that also is linked to our SIS ID correctly as well. For example, user 1 is xyz@gmail.com without a…
Canvas Portfolios provide a powerful platform for students to document their learning journey, reflect on their progress, and showcase competencies. However, in programs where multiple educators are involved in assessment—such as team teaching, moderation, or competency-based evaluation—there are important questions about…
I have a student that was in a tag called "ac" and recently moved him to a different tag, "AC." I did ensure the old tag was removed; however on a canvas PAGE he sees both pages the "ac" and "AC" Canvas Pages. I removed the assigned tags to the page and the one tag to the student thinking maybe if I remove and reassign…
