It almost sounds like you have a custom page for your "Home" page with some buttons on it. Unfortunately, Community members do not have access to your school's Canvas environment or your course, so we cannot see what your "Home" page currently looks like. If you want, you can post a screenshot so that we can get an idea of what it looks like. We might be able to provide some general assistance once we see an example.
