When I open up Canvas the button labeled Courses doesn't appear under Dashboard. The Dashboard just appears to be loading for eternity. I'm not sure how to fix this. I tried Logging out and then back in as well as restarting my computer.

Have you tried making sure that your browser is up-to-date? In general, it's best to use a current version of either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Also, you might want to try and clear your browser history/cache files, close the browser, re-start the browser, and then log in again to Canvas.
