My Dashboard is still showing my child's previous middle school announcements and I am unable to view her current classes at her new school.

Each school typically has its own Dashboard. Your child's middle school and her high school most likely have different Dashboards. I would suggest contacting her high school for instructions on how to get access to her current Dashboard.
Sometimes active enrollments in a new term (even from a new school) will cause the dashboard to update automatically. Your local Canvas administrator should be able to confirm this for you.
