Notes in Grades - how do I increase capacity?

I use the Notes function in Grades to record when a student has uploaded an assignment and their Turnitin score but I now found I have run out of disc space or memory ? I know this, because I deleted old nates and was able to add a few more new ones.

I have tried increasing File Storage in Settings but it's not that.

Anyone else experienced this or has some suggestions?

According to the Guide on the notes field, it only allows up to 255 characters, so that is your issue and why deleting old ones helped 😞 https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-use-the-Notes-column-in-the-Gradebook/ta-p/940 I hope someone else will come along and make me a lier but I don't think there is an officially way to change that nor have I ever heard of a work around for it.
