group chat among students were we can share ideas and help each other. i just did a course without help yes there was bits of information available but it would of been great to share my ideas with others who were studying the same course as me. its not cheating if our ultimate goals are helping others

I came across this old thread while doing a community cleanup.

It appears you'd like your course to have a group chat available.  This is something you'd need to talk to your teacher(s) about, as Canvas does have chat and discussion features available.  In some cases these features can be misused by students so the teacher chooses to disable them.  As part of the Canvas community, we unfortunately don't have any control over what features your courses have available in them.
