Canvas Notebook Disable Feature Request

Question

I am a user and I want to disable the Canvas Notebook feature as I like to select text as I read it and when I select text in a text dropdown, it closes the dropdown, which is slightly annoying. I found out that this feature can only be disabled in Account Settings by admins, but I don't want everyone in the institution to lose access to the feature because I don't want it.

So can you add the Canvas Notebook feature enable/disable button which is currently in the Account settings to the User settings as well, so that users can choose to disable it if they want?

Or  fixing the bug which automatically closes the text dropdown when Notebook is enabled could also be a possible solution.
