From the Inbox - I do not see a way to include an accessible link.
For example - clicking on the word
YouTube(which contains the link) versus
https://www.youtube.com/
Hi @phanks0002 …
Unfortunately, the box to compose a message within the Canvas Inbox is a simple text editor and does not include the same kind of text formatting tools that you find in other areas of the Canvas LMS (specifically the Rich Content Editor … a.k.a. RCE) such as Pages, Discussions, Assignments, and Quizzes. So, you cannot highlight words like YouTube (like I just did here) and make it a link like you are hoping. You'll need to include the URL in your message.
I know that having a RCE in the Canvas Inbox has been a very popular Feature Request for several years, so I'd encourage you to visit the https://community.instructure.com/en/categories/canvas-collaborative-roadmap and click on the "Share a Contribution" link to submit your idea. And, while you're at it, you can check out the tabs for COMING SOON, ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT, and UNDER CONSIDERATION.
I know this isn't the answer you were hoping to get, but I do hope it helps to know how things currently work and how to submit your idea for consideration.
I am currently experiencing an issue where a student’s assignment grade appears in Moderate, but it is not populating in the Canvas gradebook. I have verified the submission is there, but the grade is still missing from the gradebook view. Is there a known fix or additional step needed to get the grade to display properly?
Hi all, Quick question about the Gradebook color status for a 2-part checkpoint discussion. If a student completes the first due date (initial post) but does not complete the required replies by the second due date, is there any way for Canvas to automatically show a color (e.g., missing/late) instead of staying as…
Canvas Portfolios provide a powerful platform for students to document their learning journey, reflect on their progress, and showcase competencies. However, in programs where multiple educators are involved in assessment—such as team teaching, moderation, or competency-based evaluation—there are important questions about…
Hi There, We are in the process of transitioning to Canvas this year and were wanting to connect with any other MYP schools to see how you setup Assignment and grading under your modules. Or you could guide us to any resources you may have.
Our "Outcomes" has not been working for about 6 months. Teachers can't build and attach Outcomes to new quizzes. Canvas said it was a rollover issue. Canvas won't fix it unless we pay them $2000 to "re-train" us for 10 hours. Has anyone had this problem and did it get fixed?
