Unable to see Course Analytics for my sudents

Hello Community,

I am on my 2nd course on Canvas free for Teachers. While in the first course, I was able to view Course & Student analytics, I am not able to view it for this course. The course has been published and students active for more than 48 hours; however when I click on Student analytics (through the People tab) the message I receive is: This user has an inactive enrollment status or a deleted status. We cannot show data for this user in Course Analytics. Attached screenshot.

When I click on Course Analytics from the homepage, I see 0 students enrolled there. See 2nd screenshot.

Finally, also attaching a 3rd screenshot, which shows my Student enrolments and their last activity.

I'd greatly appreciate help / input on what might be the issue at my end and some guidance on how I can view Course & Student Analytics.

I have received an update — Course Analytics is no longer available for Free for Teacher accounts. While it may become available later in the future, it is not currently available for use at this moment.

Welcome to Canvas and I'm sorry to welcome you with a stern 'ticking off'.

Please delete your first screenshot of your students names (assuming these are real) or redact the names - in most jurisdictions you are not allowed to share your users details externally under Data Protection and Privacy laws. I believe this also breaches Canvas's terms and conditions.

Course analytics only works where students are registered to (enrolled) in a couirse and are active (ie have not been withdrawn).

In this case I recommend you have a discussion with your IT team or Canvas support, as there may be an anomaly in how the students have been added, or with the term date settings.

I noted that we had a temporary glitch on one day last week when the analytics data disappeared from Canvas for a day or so, which has occurred before. I don;t believe this to be the source of your problem.

Good luck - but delete the student names now please !

This is a known issue with FFT, I have an active ticket open with technical support. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.
