How can I create sandboxes for my students to build in?

I'm creating a course where I want to give my students their own Canvas "sandboxes" to build and experiment in. I know how to create a shell, but I'm wondering how to provide these shells to my students at scale. Let's say I have 20-60 students in my course. How do I give each of them a Canvas sandbox to experiment and build in?

Hello! Is the point of the exercise that you want students to be able to build their own pages? Or do you want them to also be able to create assignments, change settings, and other course related work? If it's the former, I would suggest creating pages in your own course and allowing them to edit those pages. If it involves allowing them access to additional Canvas course settings, I am not sure that there is a fast way for creating individual sandboxes for students unless your IT can do that for you using the SIS.

One of the ways you can do this is to create a group or groups for your students. Within this group, students will be able to create and edit pages, therefore enabling them to 'experiment'. Within the group you will be able to view the content and activity.

This way you will not need to create any extra pages in your course, although, you might like to create a template or guide for them to follow and use, which you could share with them.
