Change Order of Account Menu Items

I'm an Admin in Canvas, and I'd like to know if it's possible to change the order of items in the Account menu. Now, we have:

-ePortfolio (Legacy)
-Shared Items
-Portfolio

We'd like to have Portfolio above ePortfolio (Legacy), to encourage people to use that, but I can't find a way to do it.

As far as current Canvas functionality allows, administrators cannot manually reorder items within the Account menu. The order of items such as ePortfolio (Legacy), Shared Items, and Portfolio is controlled by Canvas at the system level and is not configurable through account or sub-account settings.

However, there are a few practical steps you can consider to encourage adoption of the new Portfolio feature:

• Disable ePortfolio (Legacy) at the account level (if it is no longer required), which removes it from the menu and avoids confusion.
• Enable and promote the new Portfolio feature through Feature Options and institutional communications, announcements, or guides.
• Provide training materials or onboarding instructions that direct users explicitly to Portfolio instead of the legacy version.
• Consider adding a custom global announcement or help guide link highlighting that Portfolio is the supported and recommended tool moving forward.

Since Canvas is already transitioning away from ePortfolio (Legacy), the best long-term approach is to disable the legacy tool and guide users toward Portfolio. If menu ordering becomes important for your institution, you may also consider submitting this as a feature idea in the Instructure Community, as administrative control over menu ordering could benefit many organizations.
