We recently discovered an intermittent issue in which New Quiz scores are not populating in Grades or SpeedGrader. We reported this to Canvas Support (Case #13495368) and were informed that this is a known intermittent issue, with their engineering team actively working on a fix.
As a work-around, you can go to Moderate page for the quiz and see the student's submission and score. Then if you click on the student's submission from the Moderate page , and scroll down to the bottom, there is an update button that is grayed out. BUT if you go to the Fudge Points and increase it by one and then decrease it back down to zero, the Update button is no longer grayed out and when you click on Update, it will send the score over to the gradebook.
We are wondering whether others have experienced this issue, reported it to Canvas Support, and how they are communicating it to faculty. We became aware of the problem after a student shared a screenshot showing a completed quiz with a score visible on their end. We then impersonated the student to confirm the issue.
