Can Instructors get a notification anytime a Student joins/enrolls in a course?

I looked in the Canvas Notifications resource doc and it did mention (shown at bottom)…

But when I go into my Account > Notifications, I don't see that as an option - at either the Account or Course level. (Account level screenshot below)

Is this something an admin needs to change?

I think the Administrative Notifications is likely the one you want, but ti does depend on how exactly students are getting in your course(s).

If students are self-enrolling in the course, this will work with one caveat… If a student used the "join" link more than once you'll get a notification each time.

On the contrary, if the students are being enrolled through a student information system, there isn't really a way that I know of to have Canvas notify you. In that scenario, the notifications should really come from the student information system anyways in my opinion and you'd probably want to check with your IT or registration department to see what is available.
