Imported(?) assignment due dates changing when published

Hi there,

We have a teacher with imported assignments that have their due dates change after publishing. Other faculty members have reported they watched this behavior occur.

-An imported assignment has a due date adjusted to the current school year.
-The assignment sits unpublished with the correct due date visible in it's settings
-When finally published, the date changes.

This behavior has been reported multiple times.

I'm at a loss trying to reproduce the issue, and am able to provide any assistance other than suggesting they double check all dates after publishing.

Has anyone else heard of or witnessed this behavior? Any insight is appreciated.

Do you and your team use Blueprints? I have seen this sort of behaviour occur when the assignment is linked from a Blueprint and the appropriate settings have not been selected prior to syncing.

If you are using Blueprints, check that the due dates settings is not selected, if it is, it will continue to update with the 'old' dates when a sync occurs. If you review the course settings information, and managing Blueprint content you might find some information to assist.

Thanks for your response. We do use blueprints but this course is not synced to one. It's pretty odd. At first I assumed it was just user error, but because I have received the same ticket a few times I'm starting to wonder if this is not the case.
