Video recorders for students to answer assessment questions orally

Hi , Im currently updating the assessment materials for the whitecard course CPCWHS1001 and I have noticed all of the new courses online have video recorder inserts to allow students to orally record answers as part of their assessments. It looks like it is a standardised requirement of the assessment conditions.

How does one create this and include in online courses such as this?

Would you be able to post a screenshot to help with your query? It sounds like you might be referring to Canvas Studio, but the screenshot will help to assist with your query.

Do you know if your institution has implemented a new video streaming or recording platform, similar to Canvas Studio?

If they have, that platform could be (by default) allowed type of submission.

If that is the case, you would need to check with your institution's Canvas team for guidance.

But like @oneilllj said on 2025-09-02, are you able to share a picture or recording so that we have a better understanding?
