Can a student view past submissions to the same assignment?

From @NancyE I have learned that students cannot view past submissions on the same assignment. What is the reason for this decision?
This should be changed because a student who has received comments/feedback on a previous submission can no longer view the feedback.

Hello there, @SpencerDunford1 ...

It sounds like the Canvas administrator(s) at your school do not have the feature "Assignment Enhancements" enabled for students.  One of the benefits of "Assignment Enhancements" is the ability for students to see their past submissions.  If you take a look at this Guide, How do I know when my assignment has been submitte... - Instructure Community - 416678, you can see there is an "Attempt #" drop-down list where students can select any of their submissions.

If you do not have "Assignment Enhancements" enabled at your school, you would want to reach out to your school's Canvas Administrator or someone from your school's Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Education team to see if they would be willing to enable it for all courses at your school.  They may already have plans in place to enable this, but you'd have to check with them to be sure.
