I would like to have students sign up to present a topic on a particular class day. Is it possible to allow them to access the calendar feature to do so or is there a way to set up a sign-up sheet other than just creating one myself and loading it in as a file?

There are great use-cases for Scheduler too. From office hours, to sign ups, instructors are able to streamline some of their calendar-related workflows. While it's an awesome feature, it is optional. In the event you do not see it available in your course, you can reach out to your local Canvas Admin to discuss enabling it for your school.
Some of our teachers create a sign up table with all the dates and time slots and set it to be editable by students.
Students can then edit it
- yes they mess up the table sometimes
- yes they swap their name for someone else who has taken the slot they want
In both cases page history identifies who and when and allows restoration back to that point.

I am just curiousas to why there is not a field to enter a description for an outcome at the account level? Or at least edit the rating when you attach/link an account level outcome to a rubric. When you create a new criterion for a rubric, you enter a decription for a rating, but for an account level outcome.
