Announcements need revamp of publish & dates

The Announcement dates feature is a royal pain. Why can't you add a publish or unpublish button without having to add a future date to avoid publishing? Why can't you add a batch edit feature for the dates like there is for assignments?

It's very inconvenient that announcements publish by default unless you play with the dates.

Also, if your school has purchased the DesignPLUS product from Cidi Labs that integrates with Canvas, the MultiTool (part of DesignPLUS) allows you to edit announcement properties on one screen.
