LTI Recommendations or Settings: for Timeline or percentage tracking of modules

I have looked at a number of LMSs for self-paced compliance courses and a common feature is a view which shows the percentage complete of the course in pages or assignments. Does anyone know if this is possible in Canvas through the native interface... I have tried looking at Course Pacing but this doesn't create a visual. I have also tried setting pages as 'tasks' to be completed, but similarly there is no visual or percentage that I can see... though maybe there is a better way to do this!

Alternatively is anyone aware of an LTI which I could look at which includes this type of features. I have considered using a SCORM approach but I would prefer a more versatile option that could be updated live.

Except for How do I use modules to view the progress of students in a course? - Instructure Community - 973, there is not a module tracking feature in Canvas. However, this feature is a faculty/admin feature and not meant for students.

The best option, short of Canvas designing one, is to set as many items as possible to either (1) have requirements for them (please see the teacher aspect at How do I add requirements to a module? - Instructure Community - 1131 ) and set them so that students have to "mark as done" in order to proceed and (2) require submitting or doing something. Unforunately, that would not show a percentage but it would show a student what they have and have not done.
