Is there a report that can be run in Canvas to show who made changes in a course?

We are wanting to run a report in Canvas to show if changes were made in a course and by whom. Is this possible? I reviewed the reports I can run in Canvas but I am not finding a specific report that would show if content was deleted or changed. @DrTerriC

Hello @Greyhound - I am aware of the page history capability but I am unaware of there being a built-in feature or plug-in tool for assignment/ quiz/ discussion / module history. Reference: How do I view the history of a page in a course? - Instructure Community - 900

If your institution uses Canvas Data, they are able to make use of the web_logs and users tables filtered for the course and when doing so filter for urls that contain /edit. Here is an example I just created using Tableau and Canvas Data. This can show who edited the item, the date, the IP address, etc.

This question is similar to another one from today where someone wanted a report on teacher activity and when they deleted or hid items.

@Jeff_F gave an answer here about use page views (I mentioned it through the browser instead of with Canvas Data 2) on my response. I also provided some other ways to look for the information. With foresight (no one has it until they get hit with this the first time), I would recommend Canvas Live Events as that can let you know within minutes of it happening rather than having to wade through the logs after it happens.
