Hi everyone, I had recently just created a new canvas account and would like to access the theme editor. However, I do not see it available anywhere/
Hi @Tssz and @StevenLankford,
Are you administrators in the root Canvas account of a paid Canvas instance? I ask this specific question because the How do I create a theme for an account using the T... - Instructure Community - 242 does outline the scenarios where the theme editor would not be available... If you don't have an admin role in Canvas, the theme editor will not be available at all. If you are an admin only of a subaccount in Canvas, your root admin may not have enabled subaccounts to have different theming, and thus you won't see the editor.
I hope this info helps!

i have the same problem. i am saving the discussion to find the answer
Hey @Tssz ,
In addition to the information provided to you by @chriscas , I also wanted to share some more information that could potentially be useful. If you recently created an account under the Canvas Free for Teachers instance, you do not have access to any account-level permissions, as you only receive access to course-level settings. Account-level permissions are required for accessing the theme editor. The only people that have access to the Admin side of the FFT instance are Instructure employees.
I hope that helps in some way, too.Noah
Hello, everyone, I am new here. I am a little worried since I started the FAML100 course at BYU-Idaho through BYU-Pathway, and there is a quiz titled "W02 Quiz Reading Research: Using Abstracts" (It appears in the Grade section, not in Modules) where I have 10 possibilities to do the quiz. I did 8 times, and each attempt,…
I am currently experiencing an issue where a student’s assignment grade appears in Moderate, but it is not populating in the Canvas gradebook. I have verified the submission is there, but the grade is still missing from the gradebook view. Is there a known fix or additional step needed to get the grade to display properly?
Due dates and available from / until dates are very confusion. I would like to provide a specific time period during which students can see and get access to an assignment. I would also like to limit the time available to complete the assignment regardless when the student starts. E.g., An assignment becomes available at 7…
Hi all, Quick question about the Gradebook color status for a 2-part checkpoint discussion. If a student completes the first due date (initial post) but does not complete the required replies by the second due date, is there any way for Canvas to automatically show a color (e.g., missing/late) instead of staying as…
Canvas Portfolios provide a powerful platform for students to document their learning journey, reflect on their progress, and showcase competencies. However, in programs where multiple educators are involved in assessment—such as team teaching, moderation, or competency-based evaluation—there are important questions about…
