Filter works in Gradebook, but disappears when refreshing the page... hiding everything

I use the "Has ungraded submissions" filter, so that my Gradebook is not cluttered with hundreds of quizzes that have already been graded or students haven't encountered yet.

The "Has ungraded submissions" filter works great, until I refresh the page or come back to it later, in which case the entire Gradebook is blank... but the filter is still on (see attachment).

I'm sure I must be doing something wrong, because that doesn't sound like a feature!

Hi @fkhatib,

As a Canvas admin, I have:

1. acted as one of our faculty that is teaching in our Summer semester
2. gone into one of their courses and its "Grades" area
3. applied the "Submissions -> Has ungraded submissions" filter
4. three assignments appear (along with all of the assignment groups)
5. I left the "Grades" area of the course, went into a random assignment, discussion forum, and returned the "Grades" area
6. the previously applied filter was still active
7. I saw only the same three assignment (and assignment groups)

Based on my experience, it seems that everything as a whole is working as intended.

Have you reported this to your Canvas team or (if available to you) directly to Canvas Support?
