I'm trying to add another teacher to my canvas page so they can get into my pages and to my Clever pages, but I can't find the way my IT said to do this
Hi @espinrl,
If you have the appropriate permissions, you can add another Canvas user account to a Canvas course by following the instructions in the How do I add users to a course? - Instructure Community - 1119 guide.
If you are not able to follow these instructions, you either:
I would recommend that you ask your IT Department to confirm that you have the appropriate permissions.
If you have the appropriate permissions, your IT Department should be able to temporarily act as your Canvas user account to confirm that it is working as it should or they may have to get in contact with Canvas Support directly.
I hope this information helps you out.

In your course, go to the People page. You will see a blue button in the upper right that says +People. That is the option you want.
This will bring up a pop-up menu. The easiest way can often be via email (which is what pops up by default). Add their email in the text box. Down below are some settings. You will likely want to use either Teacher or Co-Teacher. This will allow the person to run the course like a teacher. Make sure to uncheck the setting about only interacting with users in their section.

If you are still having an issue, please upload a screenshot showing what you feel is not working correctly so we can better help you. If you do not see Teacher or Co-Teacher options, you will need to talk to your tech support as the users on here will not have access to your Canvas instance to assist.
BTW, this will only add them to your Canvas course. This will not give them the ability to access your Clever links. For that, you will need to talk to Clever, or ask one of your techs to come assist you if they know how to do it.
I don't know about Clever pages, but for Canvas, you'd need to go to the People tab, there's a button "+ People" on the top right, and then you'll be able to write in their email or ID, and choose their role.

Still, you may not be able to add another teacher, depending on your institution's policies. For example, I have a a teacher role, and I can add a TA, a grader, or a designer (among a couple others), but not a teacher or student.
In that case, your IT or Canvas support would need to do that.
With the new SpeedGrader UI, we are seeing student names appear in the page title even when the “Hide student names” setting is enabled. When using Classic Quizzes, there is no option within the quiz settings to enable anonymous grading, so we rely on instructors using the hide student names setting in SpeedGrader to…
Has anyone had a chance to try this with a Canvas quiz? Seems it may have a similar effect as ChatGPT Atlas able to provide all the answers to an open Quiz. https://www.theregister.com/2026/03/05/microsoft_adds_a_sidepane_for/
When you are creating a quiz and/or also reviewing a quiz in Canvas after the class has taken it, the questions aren't numbered so after you get past the first few questions, there is no way to even tell what number you are on. Can someone change that?
Speedgrader chaning file name when being downloaded. Speedgrader: When downloading a submitted assignment, the file name is being changed to an unrecognizable name — (Student's actual name was part of the file name — changed for privacy.) Ideas???
We are all familiar with the standard Course Calendar, where assignment due dates are automatically added. However, at my institution, we structure our assignments as Challenges that develop over a period of time, rather than just a single deadline. Currently, the calendar only highlights the "end point." It would be a…
