I have an update from Canvas Support @areyes252 . Canvas engineers feel they have a fix. the next step is to add the fix to the beta environment where it can be tested and confirmed that it works before adding it to the production environment where it will be available to all users. I was not given a timeline, but at least we know there is a solution on the way.
