lag time for Canvas changes?

How much lag time is there between making a change to Canvas, and having that change register in the link validator?

Hi @CindyIsabel,

Depending on the reason for the broken link, in my experience, there is no lag when running the link validation tool after fixing a link that was reported as being broken.

There is a possibility that the link that is being reported as broken is a false positive. That is sometimes something that happens for links on some websites or because there could redirects happening behind-the-scenes.

As a reply to this question/post, are you willing to provide the code for everything in the question? If you are, you would need to:

* go into edit mode for the question
* switch to HTML view (https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Basics-Guide/How-do-I-use-the-HTML-view-in-the-Rich-Content-Editor/ta-p/618225)
* select everything and copy it
* return to this question/post in the Community and reply
* in the editing toolbar for your reply, click on the "..." icon to the right of the "camera" icon
* click on "Paragraph" in the upper-left corner
* change to "Preformatted"
* paste in the code

This will allow someone to copy that code and paste it back into their Canvas to try and duplicate the problem and offer an explanation or solution.

If you are concerned about the integrity of the test question, you could change the wording of any text.

Without that information, it will be difficult for us to offer any specific assistance.
