What is the limit of courses in the calendar? Can I display more than 12? Some students with extra curriculars can't see all of their courses.
Hi @jwisniewski1,
I believe the limit is 10, and I don't know of a way to increase that. The How do I use the Calendar? - Instructure Community - 617613 guide alludes to this saying, "By default, the first 10 course and group calendars will be selected and appear in the calendar view." I just did some testing and verified that as I selected additional calendars, other ones were automatically turned off.
I hope the info helps, even though it may not be what you hoped.

The default limit of items appearing in the calendar is 10. It was explained to me years ago that was decided on because more than 10 courses is an extreme course load and no students would have that in a mod. We have more than 40 clubs that students have available, and they quickly would push academic content off the calendar page. We moved to another product to keep nonacademic events separate. One issue we continue to run into is that class assigned groups also count towards that total.
Hi all, Quick question about the Gradebook color status for a 2-part checkpoint discussion. If a student completes the first due date (initial post) but does not complete the required replies by the second due date, is there any way for Canvas to automatically show a color (e.g., missing/late) instead of staying as…
Among all the things that I wish Canvas had is that one! Is it something that is been worked on? We had it in Blackboard (legacy) and I sorely miss and need in Canvas (we just transitioned to it from Bb). Please add this very needed feature!
Morning! One of the more frustrating aspects of Canvas are groups and the issues that show up when copying courses that have them. But now we have yet another issue. Most recently we have had instances where people mark an assignment/discussion as a group assignment but then do not link the discussion or assignment to any…
A recent change my students have been complaining about is that they now have to wait for Canvas to process submissions so that it can be displayed within the browser before they can check that the submission worked. When the servers are heavily loaded I have seen student need to wait 5 minutes for this. When submitting at…
