Is there a way to access a previous school year's calendar on Canvas?
Hello @davissl2 - in my Calendar view I do not see the older courses from last year or earlier as these are concluded. Your ability to see such calendars depends on your course role and if the course is set to enable access after it concludes.
That said, to view a calendar for one of the courses I taught last year I would go to the global navigation toolbar > select Courses > select All Courses > select the desired course > select the link to View Calendar. This will take me to the calendar view for that course. Here is an example url:
https:// uniname.instructure.com/calendar?include_contexts=course_321471#view_name=month&view_start=2024-11-13
I would then edit the date to be the year and month, etc. I wish to view. Or I could also use the calendar screen navigation to select a new date to view.
https:// uniname.instructure.com/calendar?include_contexts=course_321471#view_name=month&view_start=2020-11-13
That enables us to see calendars for courses taught in earlier years.
Take care, Jeff

Is there a trick to importing a rubric when using the Canvas rubric template? I download the csv file and fill in the Canvas Rubric template from the Enhanced Grading feature and nothing happens when I try to upload it. It only shows the file name, but not it's size. Yes, it is still a CSV. I've tried removing all symbols…
With the new SpeedGrader UI, we are seeing student names appear in the page title even when the “Hide student names” setting is enabled. When using Classic Quizzes, there is no option within the quiz settings to enable anonymous grading, so we rely on instructors using the hide student names setting in SpeedGrader to…
Speedgrader chaning file name when being downloaded. Speedgrader: When downloading a submitted assignment, the file name is being changed to an unrecognizable name — (Student's actual name was part of the file name — changed for privacy.) Ideas???
We are all familiar with the standard Course Calendar, where assignment due dates are automatically added. However, at my institution, we structure our assignments as Challenges that develop over a period of time, rather than just a single deadline. Currently, the calendar only highlights the "end point." It would be a…
The current placement of the "Submit" button creates a "slip" in user behavior where habit-clicking "Next" leads to an accidental final submission. I think Canvas could easily fix this by: Moving the Submit button away from the navigation buttons (maybe above the question instead of below it) and/or Adding a "Confirm…
