Can you set an Out of Office auto reply to students who msg you through Canvas when you are not at work?

This is possible but is a Canvas root account setting that an LMS administrator needs to enable. The functionality became available in the middle of July 2024 and is documented in the release notes at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Releases/Canvas-Release-Notes-2024-07-20/ta-p/606797.
After it has been enabled by an LMS administrator, the "How do I manage my Inbox settings?" guide at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Basics-Guide/How-do-I-manage-my-Inbox-settings/ta-p/616661 explains it from an end user perspective.
