Import Course Content but sruck pre-processing and be timed out error

Question

I exported the course content, but when I try to import it into another course, after selecting the file and clicking the import button, it says 'pre-processing' in the 'Current Jobs' section. After 1 hour, it gives a 'timed out' error. I deleted the PDF files in the modules to reduce the file size and exported it again, but it didn't work. Why could this be happening?

I want to import the course content from one course to another that is in the another Canvas environment. I want to use the way that canvas course export package. By the way I delete some pdf file in course module because I want to decrease the imscc file size. Then it stuck in queued.

Are you wanting to import the course content from one course to another that is in the same Canvas environment?  If so, I think you're creating more work for yourself, and there's an easier way to do this...IMHO.  Instead of exporting the course to a file and then importing that file into a different course within the same Canvas environment, you can just use the Course Import Tool.

* Log in to the course that is black (or the course where you want to copy the content into).
* Use the following Guide to select the course where the content lives (for you, I think you'd be selecting the course you were going to originally export): How do I copy content from another Canvas course using the Course Import tool?

This process should import the content from one course to another ... and save you some steps in the process.
