Not being able to download quiz responses to grade makes assigning essays and paragraphs on Canvas essentially worthless for me, Why is this issue not fixed? This is not difficult and there should be a way.
You can download the spreadsheet, but can’t grade in it. I’ve made a bunch of Python scripts to export a spreadsheet and reimport with grades at my institution, but I cannot guarantee they will work for others! It only works with Classic Quizzes, not New Quizzes.
The scripts export a .csv spreadsheet, which can then be reimported with grades and comments. For safety, grades of 0 are not imported and must be manually entered. It’s a pain to use and still in a kind of alpha version, but if you are interested I can try to help you set it up.
