Weird technical question here. I have an assignment designed as a group assignment, so I would like the students to sign themselves up for groups in the specific group set that I've linked to the assignment. When I've done this in prior semesters, students have made new group sets and have gotten confused as to where to sign up for their assignment group, so I'd like to be able to remove the option for the students to make new group sets.
Does anyone know if the checkbox on the course settings page that says, "Let students organize their own groups" only takes away the option for students to make new group sets? If I uncheck this box, will that also interfere with students being able to make a group in the assignment group set and self-assign themselves into their lab groups?
