Multiple Due Dates for Discussion Redesign

For the discussion redesign, consider allowing instructors to assign multiple due dates within a discussion post—one for the original post and another for the replies. These due dates will also benefit students as they will appear on their to-do lists.

This feature is already on the Roadmap to be developed. The name is the feature is called "Checkpoints" and is currently scheduled for release in Q1.

This is a much needed feature and would help more meaningful discussions happen.

Are there any updates on this feature being added. We have been asking for this for several years now. It is an issue every semester. Students are asking for it as are instructors. It would be great to know where the roll out plans are as it was promised in 2023 and then again in 2024.
