Is it possible to set the numeric grades in a course to show to the tenth decimal only? It currently shows to the hundredth. I've seen some posts that say it's possible to change it but wasn't sure how to make the changes.
I could not find settings for changing the formatting of numbers on the Grades page, and I looked at the admin and instructor settings. I do see that the second decimal only displays if a second decimal is available. In other words, if I type only one decimal then only one is visible. Of course I don't have as much control when a student takes a quiz where automatically graded score results in a decimal.
Your question reminds me of a situation I encountered using another LMS that does allow the users to choose the number of decimal places to display. They chose zero and there was a group of assignments where a student's scores were 7, 7, and 7 but the group total was 20! We thought that the system forgot how to add until the instructor shared that they actually awarded 6.5, 6.5, and 6.5 for the three assignments. Those add up to 19.5, which rounds to 20. Perhaps there is wisdom in displaying those extra decimals if they are present.
Does anyone know if SCORM is included in the canvas stack for Education
To be brief, I broke my phone in a wreck. And am now unabe to sign in through my school's (BPCC) hyperlink. Can I update my 2FA information elsewhere using my student email to resume my modules? Sincerely, Austin Riordan
One of our faculty members is using a table to show his class schedule in Canvas. He would like to vertically align the dates to the top of their cell, so he uses the Cell Properties dialog in the RCE, resulting in code like this: <td style="width: 15%; vertical-align: top;"> But after he saves the Page, the vertical-align…
Hi! I have this question from a Special Ed teacher who is also listed as Teacher in a course with a GenEd teacher. Any ideas or workarounds on how she can see the assignment before students do? I did a google search and found some ideas, but wondering if there are tested/proven practices you have to share. Thanks! Here is…
I've seen old posts regarding this question. Can Admin users generate pairing codes on behalf of students?
