Changing phone number

I need to change my phone number for 2-step verification but can't find that info anywhere in my account and the guides don't seem to address that. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

Hi @TraciCarlson,

There are a couple different ways logins can happen in Canvas, and each has their own multi-factor configuration and methods for reset.

• Your institution single-sign-on system (the login page probably looks the same for all of your institution apps, like Canvas, email, and other systems):
  • If this is what you have, you'll likely need to contact your local IT help desk to have your multi-factor reset.
• Canvas built-in multi-factor auth:
  • If you have access to Canvas, perhaps through the mobile app (as the logins often do not expire there), you may be able to reconfigure your multi-factor authentication following the guide at  How do I set up multi-factor authentication for my... - Instructure Community .
