Are you an instructor or a student? If you are an instructor, you could set up a virtual conference room using BigBlueButton. There are several Guides you can look at under the heading "Conferences" located at: Instructor Guide - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com). There is also a short tutorial video located at: Conferences Overview (Instructors).
Your school may also have a third-party vendor such as Zoom set up to integrate with Canvas. This would be something you'd need to find out from your school's Canvas administrator(s) or someone from their Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Learning department.
